A History of the Program

The University of Dayton’s Honors Program has a rich history of successfully supporting generations of UD’s most academically accomplished students.

Founded in 1978 with the first class incoming Fall 1979, the University Honors Program boasts of a more than 25-year history of success, with committed alumni and an enviable level of achievement.

25th anniversary

Over 125 alumni returned to campus to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Honors Programs in 2004.
